I've been unable to help my friend, who says that when she starts up her computer, she can't get past a screen that gives her options including normal startup, safe mode and restore. She'll choose one, then some code flashes on the screen, then she's back to that same option menu. No matter which option she chooses. She tried system restoration discs with no better result. Much gratitude to any who can help.
