Can anyone explain to me how to use the black steel loops are on the front bumpers of new chevy/gmc trucks??
Those are Tow Hooks. Whether you want to pull something or if your truck needs to be pulled (say if you are stuck) that is what the hooks are for. You could purchase some chrome ones if you are into that.
Reply:They are used to tie a chain or rope into the hooks to tow something out of the way, or to be pulled out of something (mudpatch, water, etc)
Reply:you hook tow straps to them and pull things out of ditches ect
Reply:Sure, just hook a chain or tow rope into one or both loops, then hook another vehicle to the other end and tow it away! they are tow loops.
