Are roller coaster loops fast enough that gravity keeps eye glasses on or does speed matter?

When I ride roller coasters I notice it depends on how hard the spins are - I have never lost my glasses from being upside down - but I think it depends on how tight you keep them behind your ears.

Are roller coaster loops fast enough that gravity keeps eye glasses on or does speed matter?
It's not so much the speed that will keep them on your face; it's a matter of how rough the ride is and how loose they fit your face. If it's a rough ride, they could very easily get jostled around enough to come loose.

Better safe than sorry; take them off. If you lose them, no one will be able to get them for you until the end of the day. Or you could simply hold on to them with your hands while they're on your face while you ride, holding them in place.
Reply:No, the wind created by the speed of the ride alone can pull glasses off on some rides. I would wear a glasses strap and then put them inside your shirt during the ride, they should be fine that way.
Reply:i wouldnt take the chance and i would put your glasses in a pcket or something

there is always a chance that they will fall off and then yourll have to search for them and it will be a hassle so just take em off while riding
Reply:Usually loops are taken at a fast enough speed that your glasses would stay on normally about 3.5-5 gs. People have taken a glass of water on looping coaster without spilling a drop so if water can make it through than your glasses should make it.
Reply:I won't wear my glasses on a roller coaster again. I put them in a bin or have someone hold them for me.

Lost a pair of glasses on one a few years ago. Learned my lesson then.
Reply:It all depends on how your glasses fit, the loops, and how jerky the ride is. I would never risk it, youcan enjoy the ride without your glasses. If by chance they do fall off, you will be going the rest of he day not being able to see correctly.
