don't know about yours but one of mine loops 4 to 5 times before deciding to lie down. probably depends on the dog. my rott just plops herself w/out looping.

Reply:Most dogs do it 5 or 6 times or more but it come from instinct to get the tall grass to lie down to make a bed so house dogs do it to.
